Elect
Jay Mitchell
Alabama
Attorney General
Meet Jay
Strong. Steady. Conservative to the core.
Jay Mitchell has spent two decades fighting— and winning— for Alabama. Born in Mobile and raised in the Wiregrass and Homewood, he helped lead Birmingham‑Southern College’s 1995 national‑championship basketball team before earning his law degree at the University of Virginia.
A nationally recognized courtroom lawyer, Jay was elected to the Alabama Supreme Court in 2018. There he led the fight against woke legal activism and defended life, liberty, and the Constitution. Jay and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Homewood with their four children and are active in their church and community. Jay is ready to keep fighting and winning as the next Alabama Attorney General.
Jay's Record
A rock-solid conservative and warrior for the Trump agenda, Jay is committed to advancing Alabama values in the Attorney General's Office.
Law & Order
As Attorney General, Jay will crack down on violent crime, root out public corruption, and work with the Trump White House to vigorously pursue mass deportation of illegal aliens.
Preserving Alabama Values
Jay shares the incredible commitment Alabamians have to faith, family, and freedom, and his legal record proves that he is ready and willing to defend those values in court. He’ll stand up to woke activists who hate our values and try to silence conservative voices.
Distinguished Experience
From nationally recognized litigator to Alabama Supreme Court Justice, Jay has spent two decades resolving the state’s toughest cases. Jay's tenure on the Supreme Court and as a courtroom lawyer demonstrate that he has the skill, integrity, and tenacity necessary to defeat the radical left and keep Alabamians safe.
Fighting the Woke Agenda
Jay wrote key opinions that pointed out the flaws of Roe v. Wade (well before the U.S. Supreme Court overruled it), strengthened our courts' ability to turn away baseless death penalty appeals, and pushed back on woke ideology in the legal space, such as the SPLC and ACLU’s agenda to force the use of preferred gender pronouns in Alabama courts.
